Lance grew up on Long Island, New York. He attended the University at Albany and received a BS in Business and Management. After several years in Corporate America, he was inspired by the NYC Teaching Fellows Program and transitioned into education. He received his Masters of Education from Mercy College and continued on with a Degree in Administration and Supervision. His passion was really in the classroom and taught 6th grade at PS 86 in the Kingsbridge community of the Bronx for seven years.

This is his third year working at PS527 and has been a long time parent (including a current 4th grader) since the school’s second year of inception. He loves reading stories with elementary school students and can usually be found browsing the shelves of Barnes & Noble for the latest, interesting and engaging children’s books.

Lance lives on the Upper East Side with his wife and two children and is honored to be a member of the wonderful PS527 community.
